CORONAL PRE-ENDODONTIC RESTORATION

Article by Dr. JOSE PEDRO CORTS (Continued)

DISCUSSION

The philosophy applied in the solution of the present cases was to consider the endo-restorative treatment as an indivisible unit.
The techniques applied, were no new in the case of parapulpal or dentin pins: but they are still very useful to solve several clinical situations.
On the other hand, advances in adhesive dentistry make predictable the use of these new materials as "dentin substitutes".

CONCLUSION

Clinical cases and procedures described in this article pretend to fulfill the goals of coronal pre-endodontic restoration, and show the endo-restorative treatment as a unit that it has to be thoroughly planned.
Note: I would like to thank Dr. ROY COOPER for the revision of the English version of this article.
