Endodontic Retreatment -- Continued:

The Union Broach extractor systems used in conjunction with cyanoacrylate are occasionally helpful (figure 5a & 5b).

Radiograph shows the use of the Union Broach extractor inside the canal removing the silver point.

These are just some common examples of teeth that require retreatment (figure 6a & 6b), but there are many other variables to retreatment, such as paste fills, thermafil carriers, separated instruments, posts, and failing surgeries.

The pre-op radiograph shows two teeth requiring endodontic retreatment. One tooth treated with a silver point, and the other underfilled with the gutta percha.
 

Post-op radiograph shows the successful completion of both retreatments.
